Feels like fall & other thrilling tidbits

Fall is San Fran's warmest season... so while I've been pining over hot apple cidar, pumpkin patches & bright orange leaves, the rest of the city's dwellers have been headed to the beach. Don't get me wrong, we're not talking LA/San Diego warm here, I mean warm for the foggy city in the bay: like 70s. Warm enough that cozy sweaters make you sweat and iced tea is preferable to, say... a pumpkin spice latte. While I have been *occasionally pouting about missing autumn in Minnesota {it's my favorite time of year!}, Dan-- who is like a cat and hates to be wet or cold-- is lovin' life. So, we headed for the beach and my silly discontent got lost in the heat and the waves :)

Above is Baker Beach-- reportedly one of the most photographed beaches in the world due to the spectacular view of the GG Bridge, and also-- perhaps-- because it's clothing optional... hehe. A sweet surprise to us on our romantic day adventure! In case you're wondering, I'll reiterate: this is NOT Los Angeles. No hot bods and perky ta-ta's here... mostly saggy, organic, unshaved types letting it all hang out. :)

Below is Ocean Beach... this one runs along the NW coast of the city, so it's not nearly as foggy and quite a bit warmer!
Rumor has it that beach bonfires are permitted here and we are itching to have overnight guests to enjoy one with!
This is the historic Cliff House and Sutro Baths of SF. Now it's a fancy restaurant, but evidently it was a big deal in the 1800s. That's what Google told me anyway...

It gets a bit chilly in our apartment at night... not enough to turn on the heat, but apparently cool enough that Dan thought an investment in Snuggies was in order. With a surprise visit from the UPS man the other day, I selfishly hoped Dan read my mind and ordered me a sewing machine, but was sorely disappointed to find His & Hers Snuggies. However, fast forward 6 days into our life with Snuggies -- I wouldn't trade them for anything. :)

He feels like a superhero.
Apparently I feel like the Queen of Sheba.

Do you like our pose? This is how we look approximately 3 nights/week.
*Except I'm usually watching Bravo, not reading...

A sneak peek into the other 4 days of the week: my manly man hard at work!

Speaking of hard at work... check out the official new business cards. Ooo la la!

The best part of the last couple weeks: an evening with Mr. Dave Hanson... a friend of D's from highschool came to the Silicon Valley on business for a couple days. Unfortunately we were only able to coordinate one night-o-fun this time-- but we'd love to have him (and Lindsey!) back for an extended stay :)
